Privacy and cookies

Moto2Ride uses no cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The only thing it keeps in your browser is the language and currency you chose.

Who runs Moto2Ride

Moto2Ride (moto2ride.com) is run by CHERRY ENGINE Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11751908), registered office: International House, 66 Lavender Hill, London SW11 5RQ, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the little personal data described below.

What is stored on your device

No cookies. When you pick a language or a currency (in the menu at the top of the finder, by clicking a language link in the footer, or by opening a link that names a language), the finder saves that choice in your browser's local storage, so the next visit opens in the same language and currency:

NameWhat it keepsHow long
fm_langThe language you chose, for example "de"Until you remove it
fm_curThe currency you chose, for example "EUR"Until you remove it

These two values never leave your browser: they are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they hold no identifier. Nothing is saved until you make a choice, and the static model, brand and comparison pages save nothing at all. Like any website, your browser may also keep copies of our pages, scripts and fonts in its normal cache to load them faster.

Because these values only remember a setting you picked, the law does not require a consent banner for them (UK: PECR regulation 6, exception for remembering choices such as language; EU: ePrivacy Directive article 5(3), storage strictly necessary for a service you asked for). You can remove them at any time:

Turn on JavaScript to see what is saved here, or clear the site data for moto2ride.com in your browser settings.

Removing them, or clearing the site data for moto2ride.com in your browser settings, costs nothing; the finder then picks the language from your browser settings again.

What reaches us

Server logs at our host

The site is hosted by Zenbox (zenbox.pl), a hosting company in Poland. As with any website, its servers log each request: IP address, date and time, the page asked for, the referring page and the browser type. The host uses these logs to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, and keeps them for a limited time. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

Searches that find nothing

When a search in the finder finds no motorcycle and stays on screen for 4 seconds, your browser sends the search settings (for example licence, budget, type, and height or inside leg if you entered them) and the page language to our server. We store them with the date and hour only: no IP address, no cookie, no identifier, nothing that tells us who searched. They show us which bikes our data is missing.

Error reports and missing models

If you use "Report an error" on a model card, or tell us about a missing model, the form sends what you typed, the model and the page language to our mailbox, info@moto2ride.com. Your e-mail address is optional; if you give it, we use it only to answer you. We keep a report for at most 12 months after it reaches us, then delete it.

The legal basis for these three is our legitimate interest in running a secure site with correct data (UK GDPR and GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

Google Search Console and other search engines

We use Google Search Console to see how our pages appear in Google Search. It works on Google's side only: it adds no code, no cookies and no tracking to our pages. We proved that we own the site with a DNS record, not with code on the pages. Search Console shows us totals such as how often a page appeared in Google results and how often it was clicked, never who you are. What Google collects when you use Google Search itself is covered by Google's privacy policy.

After each update we tell search engines that support IndexNow (such as Bing) which page addresses changed. That message holds only our page addresses, no visitor data.

Links to other sites

Every page, font, image and script of Moto2Ride loads from moto2ride.com alone: no embedded videos, maps, social plug-ins, ad networks or third-party fonts. The share buttons (Facebook, X, WhatsApp), the "Search Google" link on a model card, maker websites and our Discord, Facebook and Instagram pages are plain links: nothing is sent to those services until you click one, and then their own privacy policies apply. "Copy link" only copies the address on your device.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it: write to info@moto2ride.com. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority of the country where you live.

Changes

If Moto2Ride starts storing or sending anything new, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
